Taokan – Paris – France
Restaurant that we know immediately that a good part of the bill is made to pay more the decor than the plate. Not that it is bad but it is at the level of the claim.
The starters are of course more worked than at your Chinese caterer around the street corner. You will not find this side slightly elastic for vapors and stickier than crisp for fried spring rolls. But taste is nothing transcendent.
Scallops lacquered with miso are well cooked but of lower quality. They have this taste really unpleasant (in my opinion) very particular easy to recognize when you are accustomed to the French pecten maximus. In addition, the salad leaves were not first freshness, confer photo.
Vietnamese dumplings are very good.
The rice is absolutely not salty. An oversight?
Classic caramel banana donuts, banals.
For a bill of 138 euros for 2, we could expect a better quality of products and tastes more worked.
