Chez Christophe

Restaurant unfortunately closed.
The decoration? Awful! A wine cupboard moooooonstruous, a pale lighting, wall paintings “artistic”. Despite walls covered with special canvases, even half full, the restaurant was very noisy. More, the tables had no tablecloths.
Then, what was worth the trip: exceptional products, a perfect job. I had a brains of lamb (8 euros) and sweetbread (28 euros). This one was perfectly prepared, the cooking could not be better in a Michelin star restaurant. A real treat. The knife was practically useless so the pieces were tender. The only disappointment was that the sweetbread is announced “meunière” while it was served with a veal stock. The lemon dash does not make a “meunière”.
As for wine, the glass of Pinot noir from Alsace at 8 euros was totally prohibitive.

So, what do you think ?
