Le Clos bourguignon – Paris – France
There is stil job!
Around theaters, it’s always a bit like Russian roulette. Restaurants that display the “Homemade” brand hope to get away with it by attracting quality-conscious eaters.
But this is not always enough because, in addition to knowledge, it has to do it and the material.
And it is the latter that is missing on Chablis-style snails. If the cream sauce is correct, the snails are of low quality, floury and elastic. Coarsely chopped parsley only further deteriorates the chewing.
As far as pig’s feet are concerned, the raw material is suitable but it is the preparation that is bad. They seem to have been fried and the breading is now a solid shell.
The duck breast and tartar are trying to save the honor. But the first one doesn’t have a very gory presentation. It is drowned under a bucket of sauce, the salad seems to have been thrown there by chance and the browned potatoes are more of a shovel than anything else.
The caramel cream is of good texture but far too caramelized, so with this detestable bitter taste. As for the crème brûlée, the cream was failed. Supporting photo.
Bottle of honest Luberon wine but far too expensive at 25.50 euros.
Mixed plates but that must be part of the charm.
So Homemade is not everything. You also have to work a little.
Addition of 148 euros for 3 people.
