Yes, I know, I have the art to find the old traditional places with a bit old-fashioned decoration and the cooking not at all trendy. That’s right the setting is a little bit frightening. The floor tiles are more than vintage. The coating of the chairs would scare the Adams Family. All those products are in very good conditions, don’t mistake. There are only completely not “à la mode”.
But I assume because it is for me a permanent pleasure to bring up to date this cooking denigrated but which still remains the basis of French gastronomy: home-made stocks, sauces in which the cream has its legitimate place, copious plates and well-turned vegetables.
No complaints about snail ravioli, frog legs or morel mushroom chicken with vonnassian pancakes.

How not falling in live with this wonderful plate of Bresse chicken with whole morels and cream?
Beef piece perfectly cooked:
A little bit kitsch plate but accorded with the colors of pistachio and red fruits.
A small (small is just a manner of speaking) Chateauneuf du Pape 2009, 60 euros!
Check of 145,50 euros for 2.
