Bubble Lodge Restaurant – Île aux cerfs – Mauritius
Cooking for a very limited number of customers without delusional prices is a big difficulty. From this dilemma, the restaurant at Bubble Lodge manages to get away from it all with a focus on local produce and excellent service.
The menu is quite limited since the concept today prevents more than ten customers. Indeed, the island today has only three of these hotel bubbles which I speak more precisely in another article on this blog.
A Caesar salad revisited with some chicken kebabs as a starter.
A choice of meat and fish for the dish.
An excellent white tuna kebab, a garlic cream, a little rice and some vegetables. Nice presentation.
The other chicken dish has suffered from a bad habit of the islands which is the scarification of the flesh to increase the speed of cooking. After your servant’s intervention, this will no longer take place.
As the hotel concept is in full development, I have no doubt that the table will be the next step on which the team will look to increase choice while maintaining a viable economic balance.
