The restaurants of luxury hotels in Mauritius have several shortcomings: they are quite closed to the outside clientele especially in the evening and they often offer lunch a second class menu, much less elaborated than that of the evening.
But it does not cost much to call during the day to have a lunch table. It’s now done for the Blue Marlin, one of Paradise Beachcomber’s restaurants.
And they work at noon! Menu offering mainly seafood. Lobster, shrimp or grouper, but also very light vegetable tempura.
But basic things too.
And ice creams for “big kids”!
The menu is resolutely moving towards international tastes under the guidance of traveler chef Jean-Christophe Basseau.
The frame is finally a wonderful amplifier of the pleasure of eating. Turquoise sea, pristine beach, swimming pool for the less adventurous, even if the access is rather restricted for the exteriors. But if you know how to be elegant and discreet …
